Giselle was our selection of all open heifers at the 2015 Kansas Pick of the Herds sale, and what a purchase she has turned out to be. This mating has produced numerous champions and sale toppers over the past few years. Her full sister, Miranda, went on the be named 2017 National Champion Female in Denver.

While showring championships are nice, the proof for us is in the pasture, and Giselle has more than proven herself even at this young age. She has earned her way into our donor pen, and we are extremely excited at what the future holds for this young brood matron. Her Pistol Pete son was named Reserve Senior Bull Calf Champion at the 2021 American Royal, and we are retaining each of his full sisters.

Given our success with her full sister, Giselle, Cora was our selection of all open heifers at the 2016 Kansas Pick of the Herds sale. Cora is one of the most powerful females in our herd, and yet is still feminine enough to bring home her own share of hardware. She was slapped as Reserve Grand Champion Female at both 2016 Missouri and Kansas State Fairs, Division Champion at 2016 American Royal, and Reserve Division Champion at 2017 National Western Stock Show.

To date, Cora has produced primarily bulls, and they have all been the stout, rugged-made type that commercial cattlemen love.

These Pop A Top x Berry Crush females have proven themselves to be tremendous producers for us. Free & Easy was selected out of the 2019 national sale in Denver and is proving to be a tremendous producer in her own right. Her first calf, a heifer by Pistol Pete, is a standout in our yearling pen, and her 2021 calf by our herdsire, Sustainabull, is already developing into a powerhouse.

We took one look at Hope and knew that our addiction to these Pop A Top x Berry Crush females was going to continue. She is an attractive profiling, deep-sided beauty that strides out on a big foot. She was aptly named, as given our success with her sisters, we have extremely high hope for her future. She reigned as Reserve Intermediate Champion at 2021 American Royal, and her calf out of Sustainabull should carry on this winning tradition.

As you’ve probably noticed by now, we have been enamored with our Pop A Top x Berry Crush females. So much, in fact, that we searched out 9Y3’s only available full sister and added her to the herd. She was an obvious addition to our donor pen and has not disappointed as she has been a prolific embryo producer and seems to mate well with numerous sires. In fact, the #70 heifer on the homepage banner is one of these successes.

Trina was purchased to expand our black genetics pool. She reigned as Grand Champion Gelbvieh / Balancer female at the 2021 Kentucky Beef Expo and was the high selling female of all breeds. Her EPD’s show top 1-2% strength for growth with a top 10% efficiency index. Trina came from a prolific flush, as her flushmate, Tina, was named Reserve National Champion Balancer female at the 2021 Cattlemen’s Congress, and her brother, Gambler, was a runner-up in the 2022 People’s Choice Balancer Futurity. We always make these show heifers prove themselves before entering the donor pen, but this one will be difficult to wait, as her pedigree indicates she will live up to all our expectations.

Darci is an own daughter of the famous DARC “Darci” P401 cow that has produced many show and futurity champions over her lifetime. This makes Darci a half-sister to the futurity champions and AI sires, Solution and Businessman, as well as the 2010 Reserve National Champion Female (pictured). She is also the dam of our herd sire, Consensus C026, from a flush that also left three full sisters in the herd. She has become the “power cow” of our donor pen. Her progeny always bust the scales come weaning time and are the first ones you notice upon entering the pasture.
